so it's my birthday on june 8th.  i was thinking for june 7th (sunday) we'd go to playland for the day, and then maybe have dinner afterwards.

playland would start pretty early if you'd like (like 10 am -- we want to get on the rides while there's no line up!!!), but we'll be there most of the day, so anyone's welcome to show up whenever they'd like.  fyi, you can get playland tickets for $5 cheaper at 7-11 or safeway, and you might want to consider getting a seasons pass for $70.  (i have one <smile>)  day passes are $25 i think, give or take.

my phone will be with me while we're at playland, but not constantly accessible.  (the log ride is a killer -- it's too wet for phones!!)  so if you're gonna get there and call me, call about an hour ahead, or wander around to find us.  i'll keep an eye on it.

i'm also going to go to wreck beach for most of the day on monday the 8th.  if anyone would like to join me there, feel free!

so we're going to see this show on friday i believe.  the show's at 7, and it's $26 ($20 for students).  it's at the waterfront theatre on granville island.

been a while since i've posted.

so much has changed, i wouldn't know where to begin.

life is so much simpler now. that's a good thing in some aspects, not so (for the time being) in others.

but i write that and i think to myself, how foolish of a thought. what is, IS.

and to see the world as it is, not as it could be, not as it should be, that is the way of the buddah.

i want to say i wish summer was just starting, but that is not to see the world as it is. instead, i need to concentrate on the joys autumn brings, rather than the past.

tell me, what joys (aside from beautiful leaves -- those jerks! there's no rush! =) ) does autumn bring? i need an education in this aspect...

there are those that would suggest that dropping (thus breaking) a glass on your tiled kitchen floor would be annoying, or a pain in the ass, or whatever.

and those people would be wrong.

(breaking it is simple, can be done practically without any formal training by most anyone, doesn't require too much concentration or nothing. one could almost say that the glass often just seems to break itself. (or drop itself, whatever.) )

i love the breaking part!! it's the cleaning it all up bit that... well... sucks...

how do you fix everything? you don't. you just fix right now, today...

but it's not "the first step, on a journey of way too many miles" as they say... (which is as useful as "explaining <insert arbritrary difficult mathematics here> calculus in terms of addition and subtraction -- yes, thank you, everything has an arbritrarily minimizable start, that's neither an epiphany nor helpful :-). )

it's rather that today *is* everything. life isn't all the past + all the future + etc... it's only today.

At some point today, and if I had to guess I'd say I'd probably guesstimate it between 2 and 5 pm today, (standard omidia time of course :-) ), I'm gonna go to wreck.

I don't know why, but I've had an urge, yes in this weather, yes right now, no not this second but now today, to go say hello.

If, perchance, anyone as nuts exists, I'd love a partner in sillidity... :-)

(a used one is fine too... if anyone's seen one at the salvation army, or has one they don't want or whatever... i don't know -- i have no idea how rare or unrare they are =) )

i'm going to the naam, errr, nowish, for some food... and would be tickled just silly for a partner in crime... or at least a partner in whatever you'd call naaming... <smile>

p.s. am willing to bribe in priceless bribables! (like a hug, or a poke, etc... don't worry, certainly not anything as hearless as, for example, stacks of currency, or other "worthless" trivialities...!)
